Yes! Another fission design that “fails safe” vs. “fails catastrophically”. If you really want carbon-neutral power before fusion is practical, you need this in the mix.

It’s almost got to incl. nuclear, if you want to lower carbon emissions. Safer fission designs in the nearer term (designs that “fail safe” vs. “fail catastrophically,” such as pebble-bed reactors). And more research into fusion for the longer term.
Here in Texas the “I NEED a pickup truck” bros are particularly abundant. Big ol’ 4WD models w/o a scratch on ‘em (either from actual off-roading or hauling anything in the bed).
That’s how you can tell if someone is a Southerner. Do they have a can of bacon drippings in the icebox ? (second tip: they call it an “icebox” instead of a fridge :)
My understanding is that European Nutella is actually much closer to hazelnut butter that the jars of what’s basically frosting that are sold here (yummy frosting, mind you)
I like the cut of your jib there...
M’Lord Worfin, you weren’t the first to succumb...
And while I’m something of a salty, fatty, dense little protein bomb myself...
I have yet to try opinions in salads, but it sounds do-able... ;)
Mexican Cholulua hot sauce is excellent in beer, or a Bloody Mary.
With hundreds of thousands of people out of work, incl me recently, I’m finding it rather hard to sympathize with two millionaire celebrities who are stressed out because they’re quarantining in a multi-million dollar home/ranch and are (gasp!) bored and needing attention. Oh the humanity!
Comment of the day. Here. take your star.
A-f*ing-men! Robertson or Torx head screws FTW.
Similarly, most comp-sci programs will work best with a windows or Linux setup. A Mac makes a great dev environment, but you’ll be in the minority on campus and getting help could be harder.
We got my son setup with a nice Dell laptop for college, and by his third year he was buying a Macbook anyway (he was a Computer Science major at a large state university). It seems like Macs are much more popular than Windows at university, except (perhaps) if you’re a business major. So for all the reasons you gave…
I live in D/FW, but Austin is my hometown. And I’m constantly shocked at how sucky Austin traffic has become...
We live in the D/FW area, which is similarly massive and full of freeways. Yet it stressed my wife out to no end the first time we drove in Manhattan. Gimme a big Texas city any day if I have to drive (NYC is fun for other reasons, of course).
I have one of those Casio analog diver’s style watches. It’s great! Like it so much I learned how to change the battery when the orig ran out (which is also a good skill to learn).

Wonder if those same Yankee haters have polenta when they go to the Italian restaurant ? (as I’m sure you know, fried mush, a.k.a. fried polenta, is glorious)
We have that at Aldi grocery stores in the U.S. It’s enough of a reward to get your quarter back that borderline assholes will return the cart ;)
