I would say that growing up in poverty, being bounced from home to home, and at times being homeless is the definition of disadvantaged. This particular student was not a superstar. He was a role player on a solid DII basketball team. Empathy is free, man.

I wish I could take all the stars from the vapid and often dumb comments thrown around Deadspin and especially Gawker and hand them to you for this. Thanks for offering your insight, if for nothing else than being a teacher who truly cares about his students.

I feel like I’m in a sort of unique position—I’m a former NCAA DI coach who now teaches at a large state school. Man, I love having athletes in my classes, so it always makes me sad/frustrated when athletes express this idea that they think all faculty are against them. Many faculty truly enjoy university athletics

It’s hard to tell your doors are going to malfunction when you’re taking delivery.

Chrysler has tons of issues with stupid decisions in design. Take a Durango/Grand Cherokee. Making fuel pumps fail when other non-important components fail on a computer board and you can end up with no power mid-highway. That’s one current recall.

Maybe Tesla will offer Conspiracy Mode in future updates

I will admit, I would love to have a Tesla Model X. The amount of increased space plus acceleration over my Cayenne TTS would be awesome! And these sorts of stories would certainly give me pause.

Well, since it went full on “it’s conspiracy” mode. It’s kind amusing and annoying in the same time.

I don’t think you could attach anything on Model X roof since they add that roof eating falcon door in the middle of the car.

The others were bright colors. This one is black, for formal events.

They do. Musk has pretty much said their ego got the better of them with those and he regrets adding them.

It’s not a minivan. A mini-van has a full-length flat roof that you can load ladders, kayaks, skis, surfboards, bicycles, etc. on. It has sliding doors that take up practically zero space in a parking lot. 3 forward facing rows, with seating for 7 or 8. Massive interior volume for the overall length. And it starts

No more amusing that the stalwart Ford, Chevy, or GM defenders. :)

Fairly confident they already do.

I told the local Fiat Alfa dealer here I never wanted to hear from them again after they called AGAIN after I haven’t have a 500L for 2 years (only had it six months, my fault, etc.)

Tesla is going to regret those stupid rear doors, if they don’t already.

This isn’t really surprising or newsworthy, aside from the fact that it involves the cult of musk.
