Please don’t drive a Camaro then.
Will it Puffalump?
Here’s some things I’ve picked up...
May have to click-click-hold to get it to work.
Suuuuuure its not ;)
Holding the unlock button on the key fob will sometimes lower your windows. This is awesome on hot California summer days where the interior is approximately the temperature of the surface of the sun. Both my 350Z and my current 135i do this.
That’s doubly amazing when you consider that the workers on the production line who assembled the thing were probably left with a bucket of screws and bolts that were supposed to be installed, but didn’t quite make it into the final product for whatever reason.
On my 2006 Charger R/T if you get a check engine light, instead of plugging into a diagnostic computer, all you have to do is put the key in and turn it to “Accessory” three times. After the third time, the error code will show up on the dashboard and you can look it up online easily.
I had a 1991 Camaro RS that I got not-running for really cheap. The Vehicle Anti-theft System (VATS - what everyone thinks is a microchip in GM keys in the early 1990's) malfunctioned and wouldn’t let me start the car. My car secret? Well, he made me promise not to tell anyone, but Bill down at the Ford dealer has been giving me MSRP, no markup, on new trucks for the past 30 years. You can’t buy loyalty like that.
So messed up.
David, when shifting in your J10, do you also make imaginary engine noises? You know, because it doesn’t run...
My dad has 2005 or so Nissan Pickup that I borrow on occasion with a 5 speed manual...those throws are loooong, 4th gear is somewhere in the middle of the bed. But it’s kinda fun...the truck is slow I don’t need to bang through the gears...and when I hop back into my GTI I feel like I’m in a supercar!
My old RX-8 had extremely short, precise throws with a very tight clutch engagement point. Very difficult car to learn how to drive stick on, but once you do, you can drive any stick car.
