If I ever did, I certainly wouldn’t conflate my reaction to someone else’s expressions with “following the evidence,” as this guy did. You aren’t following the evidence if you’re trusting your gut reaction on how trustworthy someone appears.

“Depp was the better actor” sure seems like a bad take to have. When reciting to millions of people my painful memories, I wouldn’t be smiling and cheerful or even passionate. I guess that means I would have lost as well.

I’ll preface this by saying I think that the “mutually abusive” line is bullshit, and that eventually lashing out at your abuser does not constitute a “mutually abusive” relationship. But:

I’m just boggled by comments here implying that if someone who has been through incredible trauma doesn’t tell her story in the exact right way she doesn’t deserve to be believed.

And where does he go? Or Gervais for that matter? They’re both has-beens and their jokes about white people or religious people are boring and old now. These people have no where to go but whatever edgy bigotry is big now and today its trans girls. Tomorrow it’ll be someone else. This is how many comedians make their

I got a lot of downvotes on Reddit for stating that Chappelle’s argument was the equivalent of white people saying shitty things about black people and then letting themselves off the hook because they have a ‘black friend’. I’m guessing that’s mainly because 99.9% of the people on Reddit are stupid children. Or

They should’ve killed Explorer 20 years ago, but better late than never I guess.  Next time I get a new computer I can use Edge to download Firefox.

Okay but lets see him with his pants off to see how “authentic” he really is

Sigh. I was cranky yesterday and tried for G/O snarky wokeism and failed (serves me for trying to pander, honestly).

That’s great and all, but Pulp Fiction didn’t become the tenth highest grossing movie of 1994, a critical smash nominated for seven Oscars including Best Picture and winning Best Original Screenplay, and a cultural touchstone included in the National Film Registry because a bunch of college students got posters of it

What year is it? People are not walking around in 2022 pretending that liking Tarantino movies is ‘a personality’.

Yes, the musical cues are down there with Suicide Squad, but if, “I am not a smart man, but I know what love is” and, “Is he smart? Or...” don’t get you, you’re a robot. Those scenes should be used as a CAPTCHA test.

I’m not a fan of Tarantino, but Gump was the soapiest Boomer tit-wank ever, though I suppose it’s deeply appropriate that the avatar for all Boomerdom is a mentally-challenged white guy from the Deep South who just does what everyone tells him to do.

It’s absolutely pointless, unless “if you’re lucky enough to be simple-minded, horrible events can roll right off your back in this country” is the point...which, come to think of it, is probably why the movie was so popular (see “current affairs.”) Beyond that, the only character that takes any kind of stand

Fair. I don't know any of those people

“Being There” was a wonderful little movie that hit every single note that “Forrest Gump” completely missed.

There’s almost 40 Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurants around the world, how many more monuments to Forrest Gump do you need?

I remember your facade cracking when you argued against an actual lawyer, and woman, who repeatedly told you how wrong you were about something, which you utterly failed at recognizing.  That was 2022's best facade cracking, I think.

Seeing this movie in the theater, I remember thinking I liked it the first time I saw it, when it was called Being There, and the second time I saw it, when it was called Zelig. When the run across America started, I thought OMG when is this film going to end. And then Jennie dies. Good Lord, what a mediocre pile of
