Nothing is impossible, I suppose.  Lots of things are incredibly unlikely, and one of those things is a long-running television institution hiring comedians off the street with nothing but an audition and faith.

I’m just flummoxed by the number of people that think SNL “missed this”. They didn’t miss shit. Why would they miss what took Twitter zero point zero seconds to discover? Do people think Gillis sent in the SFW (lol no racism) audition tape and Lorne was just all Hire Him? Do they genuinely believe they didn’t Google

Yup. Thanks Lorne, Che, and Jost!

I think comedy ages worse than just about every other genre of entertainment, and that’s something to keep in mind.

A arrogant entitled douche like Roman is more like Yale, Princeton, Harvard. Those schools pump out guys like Roman by the dozen and hate schools like NYU because its too “liberal” and “feminist” and not fratty enough. Shiv is more likely to be the NYU, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, etc type, with a liberal arts

“Being a Beyoncé fan means remaining on your toes at all times. At any given moment an album, couture legwarmer line, or, in this case, a major network special could drop with very little notice.”

I'm not sure what the end game for this series is, or why it couldn't have simply been a movie, but I'm very entertained by it and will continue to watch.

When Chris Tucker and Idris Elba are up for the same role you know white people are making the decisions.

Why? That’s boring. Much more entertaining to hire a white guy who said a bad word 10 months ago that SNL totally knew about, throw him under the bus for the slur, and then score woke points for both hiring an Asian and defending Asians from the unfunny white guy. This whole thing could not have been more calculated.

Oh man, of course he’s in with Che. Looking forward to the inevitable Instagram stories where Che complains about tweets from people critical of this chud that he’ll claim were sent to him by fans and that he definitely didn’t seek out himself, no sir.

I really enjoyed this reboot, and not in a “ha ha, guilty pleasure” sort of way. Like, I wasn’t expecting it to be actually funny or entertaining, but I often found it to be both, and also found myself unexpectedly touched by Gaby Carteris’ plot. (And, weirdly, googling “is Gaby Carteris coming out?” more than once in

Same. I kept waiting for something to happen and... I was not satisfied. Anna Delvey these gals are not.

This was helpful to me in understanding why people liked the book so much. I’m probably at fault for skimming all those parts about restoring antiques etc., but it left me cold. Also Boris reminded me so much of the also-heavily-accented sidekick in Everything Is Illuminated. I felt like encountering that character

I really, really want this show to go on again.

I think it was the guy who bought Donna’s dress- but the reveal was a real blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment.

Honestly, BH90210 is much better than it has a right to be.  I find myself laughing out loud at least twice per episode and genuinely moved by the Gaby Carteris plot.

I had low expectations going into BH90210, but it’s so good. Looking forward to cackling through it tonight.

I’m probably not going to see this anytime soon. I'm so fucking sick of the joker at this point I'd rather see the Riddler get the same treatment.

I mean, in the book it’s definitely very intentionally supposed to evoke 9/11. The trailers for this look shitty. But cinematically evoking 9/11 in and of itself isn’t a terrible thing.
