I admit it - that bit made me cackle.

Don’t forget Lower Decks.
Eh, Discovery and Picard suck though. They were just more of a “we have this idea and lets base a show on it” instead of actually writing. They knew they would get people to watch based on the name alone.
As someone who doesn’t even watch Star Trek I was pretty surprised by his comment, since my only exposure to it these days is mostly seeing/hearing of “Star Trek too woke and ruined my childhood” takes from fans trending on social media or piling into comments anytime someone dares to mention it.
A couple of years ago, I was on a general interest French-speaking message board that has a section about TV shows, and a thread about Discovery. The main contributor to the thread would lambast week after week Sonequa Martin-Green as the one person responsible for the show sucking ass. Apparently, the show would have…
Right, I see constant (shitty!) commentary about Star Trek being too woke now. I love Star Trek but there are also just some tremendous, tremendous misfires previously even at times when they should have known better.
It’s really funny to see people just repeat the same weird commentaries they’ve been running with…
Oh bless his heart.
Just pay no attention to the Orion slave girls.
I for one am glad we can always count on Star Trek fans to consistently act like rational and empathetic adults in relation to to their fandom.
It’s a bit of a misnomer to say this bill codifies gay marriage. It repeals DOMA and codifies federal recognition of gay marriages, but states will not be forced to license gay marriage.
I have done fleets - even *assisted* UHaul find a “stolen” vehicle (hint, it was in their carshare space). The reason why they could not find it? They were trying to run a service in a metro area via an intern. They did not have staff to put hands on a car. Without stable staffing in the “lots” you can’t keep track of…
If the choice is a maybe-racist diva or a nepotism baby whose daddy bought her a role she couldn’t sing, I’m team diva. I’m sure Beanie is a perfectly lovely human being and I’ve liked her in movies, but it sounds like she just wasn’t a good fit for the role.
She is a sexy skyscraper, can see her in this role
Glad to see Jessica Jones appropriately high on the list. Krysten Ritter was so good & her sitcom skills really helped salvage The Defenders.
Yeah, without Robert Downey Jr. about 85 of these characters wouldn't have been launched.
I mostly agree, but... just making the most obvious choices #1&2 makes for a pretty pointless list. And carrying the most narrative weight or being the central point of reference doesn’t necessarily make them the best character.
Yeah, their top 10 is pretty good, maybe Hulk or Nick Fury in a 3-way tie for #10, but totally agree, the order is a little off - if you’re talking MCU movie characters, RDJ/Iron Man pretty much __has__ to be #1.
Right, “Touch my sister again and I’ll kill you.” Great delivery, punctuates the scene really well.
So true, especially in the beatdown when his fist misses Carlo by a foot and he still goes down!
