I love this movie, especially Caan in this role, just watched it last month. But this scene and, even more so, the earlier street fight/beating are so damn fake. It’s more of a problem with the era of filmmaking, I guess, but they unintentionally make me laugh.
Fair call.
Probably half of this set I would have put in the top twenty...but I see this as a sign this overall list is improving.
If you had asked me who the MVP of Endgame would be before I saw the movie, Nebula would’ve been one of my last guesses, but good god was she great in that movie.
That one word dismisses harder than a middle school teacher at the end of the last day of school.
Nebula should be higher, she might have the best character arc of any Marvel character. And it is amazing that even bald, blue, and made largely of spare parts, Karen Gillan can get it
And worse “Wet Squelching”
Excuse me.....How do you delete one of your blog posts?
-at least change the title to
“Wet” squelching.
Shang-Chi wasn’t quite as good as it was hyped up to be, but Tony Leung was amazing in it - and not for nothing, *distressingly* hot.
So the Duffers have already said they are going to have to do a time jump heading into the last season. Simply because the “kids” in the cast are going to be in their early 20s by the time it’s produced. Covid had already set the production back a couple years which made the main group of actors a couple years older…
Props also to Steve for his peerless babysitting skills & being a fantastic wingman for Robin. I agree maybe he could have been less distracting and obvious with his still carrying a torch for Nancy.
*desiccated withering*
(Eddie starts playing Master of Puppets)
Eddie with the one-man rock concert in the Upside Down was a top 5 moment for the entire series for me. That. Shit. HIT!!!
The fact that they had him talking about his future while “Fire and Rain” was playing... the Duffers are just trolling Team Steve in that scene.
I wouldn’t be cheering on the “El Saved Max’s Life Parade” right now, she’s restored vital signs to the body, but is Max even in there?
I’m curious to see how things are going to play out between him and this new “Mendoza” character.
Steve is two days away from retirement and ready to sail on the SS Live Forever with his six nugget family. I’m sure he’ll be fine
