I do! I was so tired last night I wrote "Santiago" and passed out! Then remembered this morning when I woke up and /facepalmed myself. Changed it!

The A-plot was, of course, epic as hell — and Holt killed it with "Velvet Thunder" and "Chopper" — but the B-plot had maybe my favorite line of the night simply because of delivery between two people that have become friends:

This was an awesome rebound season, but I hadn't realized just how invested I was back in the Schmidt / Cece bit until Jess bent the rules and told Nick and everyone's standing around dumbfounded…

This. Fucking. Show.

I love what the show is doing and can't wait for next week. One of the things I think is going to happen is that I think the showrunners have been playing us as surely as The Machine may be playing Samaritan.

And protecting Finch.

What you did there… I see it. AND LOVE IT!

Are you my college roommate with the Super Secret Time Travel password? I know we explicitly discussed this as it's important if the right scenario comes up!

Also, I think there's a second person on the plane behind Jennifer who's never seen (just the back of a head) — my guess is that's Cole (possibly with Ramse) — and it's a misdirect that she's up to no good.

In terms of the Congressman, I think that was giving Team Machine a chance to say "Do we still want to play by the rules? Y/N" a binary choice for a sense of morality.

See, this is where I mostly disagree — and the show has been showing us, very significantly, the differences between the two. In this episode, specifically, it was Finch's refusal to fire a gun and his Samaritan analogue (Greer) executing Khan personally.

Yep! That was exactly my thought; the machine either had itself launched in its own satellite or has taken over the spy satellites itself.

Yeah, I'm struggling to realize why any of the audience would be siding with "Real SHIELD" other than simply liking the actors better (Olmos! Acevedo!).

Yep, I totally agree. NONE of these people are likeable except Todd — and I keep expecting the other shoe to drop there.

So, potentially some interesting character beats in this. pointing to some potential symmetry that the producers are not beating us on the head with.

That's where I was as well.

So, I've skimmed the comments and no one appears to be commenting on what may turn out to be the most-important part of the episode?
