I bought it! Thanks for finding this for me Jalopnik! And special thanks to the previous owner for driving it just enough to keep it in great shape but allow me to still get that feeling of owing a brand new Miata from 20 years ago at half the price of what a new one costs today! So excited to get this car!

I totally agree. This color is called Blade Silver. I’ve ordered my 570S in this color with the Saddle Tan Luxury interior. I’ve configured it like the NYC Auto Show car - including the steering wheel black instead of default tan. I kept the exterior parts in carbon (including rear deck) also added the carbon fiber

Money can and DID buy what SCG is doing this year. The idea that this is a proper road car, like a Ferrari or McLaren, is silly. They don’t have dealerships or service outlets. By Glickenhaus’ own quote it took them “days” to convert the race car back to a road car. Also this isn’t a proper street-legal car can you

You're right. The Corvette is an amazing value and a great car and goes like stink. The McLaren isn't car for people who want to mess with the engine to add more HP. It's got plenty to begin with. Also while the fit & finish in the new Corvette is miles ahead of where they've been in the past, the McLaren interior

You make a good point however what McLaren is doing here is bringing a true supercar down into the price segment where the Audi R8, Turbo S, Astin Martin DB9 and Ferrari California sit. If you were thinking of a Nissan GT, Acrua NSX, Mercedes GT or a used 458 you can now stretch and get a car with a carbon fiber

They do look awkward in that photo because of all the light bouncing and the blown out highlights on the car. But they look just fine in person. They're very detailed and jewel-like and definitely larger than the 650S/P1 lights. The rep said they're the most powerful headlights in this cars class segment. I'm not sure

Why because you think a car that's roughly 800 pounds heavier will give you a more sporty feeling around a track or even around your local streets? There are lots of reasons to love the Porsche Turbo S but it's no supercar. In 2014 alone, Porsche built over 30,000 cars in the 911 series and no doubt by the end of this

White

The 12C is still a pretty awesome car but with the 650S McLaren stepped it up a notch. In addition to the new front end (I also like it better than 12C) they added 25 more HP and 57 lb ft more torque. Carbon ceramic brakes are now standard (and vasty improved feel over the optional CCBs in the 12C). There's better

So you're saying a 903HP mid-engined, rear-wheel drive, McLaren is somehow inherently more dangerous than a 949HP mid-engined, rear-wheel drive, Ferrari? I don't think so. I have not driven the LaFerrari but I've put over 1,000 miles on my P1 and I've yet to even come close to spinning it. It has very good traction

Yikes. You're going to have a very hard time sticking to 250 miles. The 650S Spider is an extremely addicting car. The more you push it the more you respect it and the more you want to keep driving it. At 250 miles you're just scratching the surface of everything there is to learn of its capabilities. The biggest

BTW, my P1 is set to arrive this weekend!

Congrats on selling your car.

That's GREAT news! It holds a lot of memories for a lot of people! Thanks for following up on this!

Thanks! I love cars and I know so many other people do as well - especially Jalopnik readers!

I think they'd both be fine as daily drivers. The 918 has a more luxurious interior and more gadgetry but the seats are less comfortable, the driving position not as good and it's harder to get in/out of than (with the roofs on ) than P1. Suspension-wise the P1 wins due to it's active hydraulic suspension which can go

I think McLaren is still too small to be able to quality multiple tire vendors like Porsche and Ferrari can. I know for the 458 Ferrari has qualified tires from both Pirelli and Michelin. Also tires for cars this extreme require a lot of testing and I imagine the tire companies won't participate if they have to share

I should get my car in early January. It will be a custom shade of blue. I'll drive it a bunch so I'm sure there will be pictures of it on the internet.

I'm nobody special but I have been fortunate enough in my business career to be able to indulge in buying a few really great cars that I truly love and enjoy. No garage queens here, I drive them on a regular basis. When I say "a few" we're talking about 4-5 cars, not a massive collection.

I don't mind. Feel free to share this to the front page.
