That certainly was the joke!

Well sure, but I bet she can’t beat me, a nearly 30-year-old man who’s been playing since before her parents met.
Just like everything, there’s fine taste even in Anime. Way before childish crap like naruto and pokemon made it in the US, elsewhere in the world connaiseurs were already importing great japanese manga books and anime vhs. Look up Tsukasa Hojo and then tell me his work is not art.
Americans don’t make the distinction, if it’s a drawing or animation that looks like japanese cartoons they call it anime. In other more culturally advanced places people make the distinction between Anime and Manga.
I wouldn’t say less detail. Less emphasis is more accurate. Older styles definitely exaggerate everything a lot more with heavier shading, thicker lines, and stronger highlights. Newer styles favour thinner lines, softer shading, simpler highlights, and are just generally smoother and softer looking.
It’s also very apparent in Atlus games, even if they kind of have their own style. One of the studios that doesn’t seem to change is Ghibli. So every anime they put out looks timeless and I'm very excited to watch them all on Netflix in the coming months.
Beltorchika is holding his right arm and he can’t extend it enough to reach out for a handshake.
well the chick was leaning on his shoulder, so he couldnt fully reach out with his right hand
They should have “stuck to games”.
Continues to feel like tiptoeing around really explaining what they did and why?
Still sounds like they won’t say that they didn’t want Blizzard to do what they did, only that they wish it was handled more lightly. So they wish Blizzard still banned or denied prize money, but had just done it less or slower?
Still waiting to see the people taking Q&A at Blizzcon to be banned for six months because of question takers also saying “Free Hong Kong.”
It would be worth keeping an eye on this situation as it continues to develop. I mean it was a technicality that allowed Blizzard to punish Blitzchung in the first place.
There have been signs of dissension within Blizzard about Blizzard’s decision to cowtow to Xi Jin the Pooh, but I extremely doubt whether any of those people who are dissenting sit at a position of power or influence at Blizzard. I believe Lee and Thompson when they say it was a mistake and that they wish it hadn’t…
Damn. That was going so well. Then even they fucked it up.
Kotaku, please investigate Blizzard copystriking YongYea’s stream off his channel, as this would contradict their statement about allowing streamers to express themselves on their own platforms.
On one hand: Yeah, I get it. The situation in Hong Kong is a pretty massive lose-lose situation for almost every western company. You don’t want to lose access to the Chinese market, and China’s shown a willingness to do so vindictively in the past. But your employees got those pesky morals they won’t shut up about,…
At this point, the only people happy are in the Chinese government. Well, there are the few idiots who care more about Videa Gaemz than human rights. But I like to hope that they’re just a vocal minority who try to hijack threads.
Speaking of hijacking:
