Not in the US, yet. Just the UK.

So far I haven’t seen anyone note how big a deal that Star Fox, Star Fox 2 and Yoshi’s Island are all included. As far as I’m aware this is the first time Nintendo has re-released the SNES version. People previously presumed there was some kind of hurdle (technical and/or legal) stopping shipping of Super FX / Super

Don’t speak for me. I am a gamer who built my PC, has an Atari 2600 next to my GameCube and Ps1, and spent all night completing SMB3 in one sitting without warp whistles.

The quality gap between the average SNES and NES game is massive. NES games still didn’t know what they were doing until like the very end of the console cycle.

Also these are all really really good SNES games. I totally understand why this costs this much.

Nintendo always values their SNES games at more than the NES ones, and it DOES come with 2 controllers instead of 1...

Holy smokes! I expected MOST of these games to be on there, but not Earthbound, SMRPG, and FF3(6)! I own the cartridges for most of these games, and emulations of the rest. But I think I might just buy this for my nieces, so they can play some classic games with their dad who grew up with these games!

Star Fox 2 was unfinished and never released. If it’s on this list, it means there actually was a finished build and they’re including it. This would be the first official release if that’s the case.

Either you prompted someone to make one, or you were right on the money:

  • Star Fox 2

Holy fuck I cannot believe how amazing those games are. I can’t believe we’re getting secret of manna and earthbound and super Mario RPG on the same system. Let alone a star fox to vocalization? Was that ever released in North America?

There are TOO witty christian jokes:

Pastafarianism is just as valid as any other religion. Don’t call us “atheists” just because you don’t understand our beliefs.

thank you, I have not been described as cool or witty for a very long time. What is a flying spaghetti monster?

But there are no witty christian jokes other than, well, the whole christian thing.

quick, someone get this guy a safe space

If it’s their production capacity, then how is it artificial scarcity?

... so having half a million units in the first week, or maybe even doubling the first week of PS4 units sold wouldn’t make good headlines?

I doubt it’s artificial scarcity. Sure NOW it seems like they should have been producing more during the initial production runs, but I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again. THIS CONSOLE WAS NOT GUARANTEED SUCCESS!!!

“Artificial Scarcity” only gets mentioned when Nintendo’s consoles are doing well and by unintelligent “me too” drones.

The phrase you’re looking for is “supply shortage.”
