You require an argument against dropping a nuke on a city?

There you go folks. Right there, the reason countries want nukes. The philosophy of American hegemony.

The legality of your suggestion is also super shady.

I bill $300.00 an hour for my time. A NES classic retails for $60.00. So, unless I can obtain and set up a Rasberry Pi emulator in less than 12 minutes I can guarantee you that the NES Classic is a better use of my time and money than making my own.

You know what’s satisfying? Building your own furniture. A simple blueprint and some tools anyone can build all your furniture. Any one buys their furniture is just wasting their money and just stupid.

Yeah. And I really believe that this product reaching that insane level of popularity unexpectedly was a real problem for Nintendo, when they’re trying to push the Switch as the thing that they want to blow up.

Your time would have to be worth more than the small amount of time it takes to read a few paragraphs and follow the directions, though.

Assuming the emulation equipment is $60, if it would take more than four hours to find the resources, learn about emulation, look up where to reliably buy the materials, order the materials, put them together, configure the machine, find the emulator software, upload it, and troubleshoot it, it is not worth my time.

I get that the supply never matched the demand, but it’s not like Nintendo intended to sell these things long term. This was clearly a short term product that had an insane level of popularity.

Because you can play these games on a controller that looks like the controller you grew up with on a console that looks like the console you grew up with.

No to most of what you’re saying, yes to the rest. This business about manufactured scarcity isn’t actually reflected in Nintendo’s plans or actions—they got more Switches to retail in the first month than Sony did with PS4s and have announced that they want 16 million at retail before the first year.

I think the demand for it really caught them off guard. It’s popularity is pretty insane and it can’t be easy to match demand for two systems at a time.

Would you say the same if one of these things was widely available?

This thing is a complete waste of time and money for anyone who can read a few paragraphs and follow the simple instructions.

Nintendo must purify this world. Behold the Nintendo Drop.

I hope Nintendo will offer additional colors and special editions in the future. Not just on the Joy-Con, but on the Switch itself + the dock too.

You have to hold the arrow button for about as long to draw the string and aim. In the middle of a hectic battle it is easy to not see the subtle change in UI. That last line was a bit of hyperbole.

Clever girl...

I’d say four and rivals definitely were less than stellar, but VR is awesome. If you ever see a demo station, I recommend trying it.
