Horizon has like an 8.5 on metacritic. It wouldn’t have won no matter what year it came out. =(

Not Zelda Skyrim. Just Zelda. The original was almost the exact same formula, like thirty years ago.

Zelda was easily the best game of the year. Nothing else was even close.

Horizon was completely mediocre. BotW was easily one of the best games ever made. Sense of exploration unmatched by any other game, ever. Compare with Horizon’s “go here, go here, go here” structure.

Go read one of the hundreds of reviews calling BotW one of the best games ever made. Enough has already been written about it.

The game’s great. It’s what it says on the can: “Pocket” edition. Yeah, the free mobile version Nintendo is giving us isn’t as full featured as the sixty dollar game they’ll put out for the Switch in a year or two. If you’ve got two brain cells to rub together, that won’t surprise you.

Depends on how much you put into the game. Mario (kind of like Zelda actually) rewards you more and more the harder you push it. I agree that Zelda has more of that “holy shit, this is incredible” factor though, hahah.
