I agree with everything you’re saying. Pretty sure BotW made me cry. I’ve been jaded by games for so long. It was such a happy surprise - a game hasn’t impressed me or made me so happy in probably twenty years, when Ocarina of Time came out.

They’re on fire lately, though. And their new VC plan sounds cool. I’m hopeful for it!

Nintendo, fuck yeah!

Yeah, I’m sure Nintendo would make much more money if they stopped making consoles. That’s why they’re still making (ridiculously popular) consoles. Because they hate money, obviously.

“you’re also chasing Bowser around the world, since he—sigh—has kidnapped Princess Peach again”

This looks fine, though?

The Xbox One controller reminds *me* of a third party Switch Pro controller. :P

All of the examples in the video in screenshots look fucking *terrible.* Turns out bumping up the contrast by 500% on a work done by some of the best artists on the planet *doesn’t* improve said work, like the original world class artists who worked on the game actually knew what they were doing. Wow, who could’ve

Like Sweet Home? Watch Sweet Home.

Tim, you’re great.

Nintendo saved the entire gaming industry after the near collapse in the 80s, brought us like 70% of the most famous and loved games ever made, gave us the D-pad, shoulder buttons, four face buttons, rumble, analog sticks, touch controls, motion controls, and now the incredible Switch. Get the heck out of here with

Yeah. and half of these “Nintendo is dying for sure, really this time” comments came from Kotaku itself. Love how there’s no mention of that suddenly. Nintendo’s been around for like 150 years. I love how people count them out any time they’re not making a billion dollars a week.

I was aiming for 2006, the release of the Wii, with the insane hype and impossible to find consoles. Iirc, it was tough to scoop up the Wii even a year later, but not as bad. But yeah, maybe a little overestimated. Still, close to ten years, right? ;)

No, it wouldn’t “seem to validate the original point.” My whole last post was telling you people are saying it’s acceptable because the Switch is an appealing product, not because it’s made by Nintendo. Why are you making me repeat myself?

Please. It’s been cool to hate on Nintendo for the last twenty years. _HardxCore_ gamers like yourself have been predicting their death and shitposting in every article written about them since the internet became a thing. Saying “they’re getting a break because they’re Nintendo” is a fucking joke.

“If you don’t calm down I will bolus (administer) propofol (sedation medication).” Crass, but not nearly as sinister or crazy as he’s making it out to be.

Looking up the two words on Google, it’s neither.

I didn’t say the loophole was illegal. I said it was *transparent.* And guess what! Using Nintendo’s property even if you’re not making money on it IS illegal! That’s why they were able to take his Patreon page and mod down! ;)

Looks fantastic. I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell the difference unless I saw the two games back to back. They did amazing work getting this to work on the Switch, and it seems the Switch has a bit more power than most people thought, with this, Wolfenstein, and now maybe even FFXIV coming to the system. Pretty

Judging by the Switch’s sales numbers and hype (around Doom and the system itself), it would appear that the game being portable is NOT a poor excuse to most people. ;)
