Collision shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Should have been some type of collision avoidance system that could handle that slow moving piece of ship, that was big enough to show on any radar.

Is there a survey out somewhere, that indicates what the average age of viewer likes this show? Or any other demographic data on their audience? It would seem to be created to include folks my age, that have seen the original (all the way back to B&W), but I’m wondering who can absolve the writers for the hack

Is “cop” web slang for someone who analyzes TV plots and TV science too closely? I Googled it, but got nothing.

Next up in the science world: A new kind of plastic that is resistant to the runaway plastic-munching enzyme that’s destroying the world...

Huh?

Seriously?! Complaining about racism, while being a blatant racist?! That’s bloody fantastic...geez!

While not condoning the social situation that creates these scenarios, I will suggest that nobody knows the neighborhood like a cop. They know where the high-crime areas are, who the most convicted are, and they respond accordingly. If it was a neighborhood of black professionals, in bungalows, then there wouldn’t be

I had a Jewish girlfriend tell me that she loved me, and things were great, but sometime down the road, she was going to have to marry another Jew. Sometimes even love can’t conquer racism.

While totally agreeing with your premise that black men are discriminated against unduly, the woman in your opening scenario could have been any color, including black, and the scenario would have played out the same way. In fact, plenty of white women play this card on white men too, so I think that your example is

Ugh!!! Why those? Horrible ideas. You want series with premises that would work today? I’ll give you five (can probably come up with a hundred, but this is just off the cuff...):

No...

Also, kind of begs the question of how high can it turn the gravity? Could just pin all the humans to the floor (or crush them into plasma, if it’s in a really bad mood about the situation), and fly itself home.

That creates a few more questions, like if the robot wasn’t on the Resolute to rescue the engine, why was it there? And if it was there to rescue the engine, is the engine now on the Jupiter 2 that engine, or did it not successfully rescue the engine? If not, why leave the Resolute before it completed its mission? If

Didn’t you see the movie “Weird Science”? You can make your own. Even a couple of kids can do it.

Nah, with silicon you’re ok. If it was one of those cheap blow-up ones, then you’d have to worry...

I am a black belt master in fast forwarding, so other than the first episode or two, I don’t think I spent 40 minutes on any of the remaining episodes. Thankfully!

Ya, my bad! I thought that when she authorized her way onto the Jupiter, to escape the Resolute, the screen confirmed as “Dr. Smith”. It didn’t. I guess her sister was authorized, it seems. No one seemed to notice that the jacket sleeves were about 10 inches too long for her, though.

Gull wing doors that are slower than anything we’ve made in the last 20 years. Even a Bricklen has faster doors. Tech sucks, in the future.

Disagree. That’s exactly the way they did it, but they did it too far, too fast. In their defense, they did say that they tank was pressurized, and all the fuel would escape quickly, but their special effects team and/or their editor didn’t show that as happening, so that’s kinda lame. No pressure, easy to plug the
