I can’t stand Fetty Wap’s voice, so I’m not prepared to have an exegetical debate re: his feminism, but I do know that if Fetty Wap, or any man, is the biggest feminist in hip hop, then hip hop has a serious woman problem.

Fetty Wap is sooooo cute. I wish he could be my boo thing and make pies for me. I’m not sure I would use the word feminist but certainly, very strongly pro-female. Speaking of, my other favourite pro-female songs by men are Ludacris What’s your fantasy and Beanie Man Dude.

I love MC Lyte, but giving women basic respect seems like the bare minimum of human behavior. It just seems feminist when compared to all the blatant misogyny in the genre.
