Tarsem's The Fall. I'd still be completely on board with the movie because of the visuals, but the last six or seven minutes are so poignant and so full of emotion that it became became the main reason I keep showing it to people

I was also bewildered for the first two paragraphs or so before I realized this was not the first Puppet Master movie

When I saw the link to this Watch This, I immediately thought this was the movie it was going to talking about. Glad to see that there are TWO all-puppet historical fantasy films out there

When it comes to Animaniacs, it's hard to beat the rock-solid formula of the Chicken Boo sketches

The golden age of animation is an interesting period to consider in terms of "what was the best time for animation", in that it was unparalleled in terms of technical ability and technical experimentation (Flescher's Popeye shorts, Disney's The Old Mill, Pinocchio, etc) but was very limited in terms of concepts and

Well now, I can't wait to see it. I've always been fascinated with how someone would adapt the even-more bonkers second novel, in which a psychedelic UK is collapsing in on itself and all the colours have gone photo-negative. It would be difficult considering the story basically just jags from Cornelius drinking

I remembering finishing the Moorcock novel and trying to figure out how a film adaptation of it would work… and then was stunned that they had actually made one. I need to track a copy down

The real question is: who's going to play Riff Randall?

Am I in an alternate universe where Reboot isn't remembered fondly?

Mega Man 7 did, I think

Man, I have always, always thought the title was "Summer of 4 ft 2" as in Summer of 4 (Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa) featuring 2 (Maggie, Milhouse), to the point where I had to read this post over a couple of times to understand it.

Scrolled down to see this quote. Was not disappointed.

I knew I was forgetting one!

Good video game movies?
I will always defend Advent Children, which is both insane and insanely beautiful, and because I'm a nerd, etc.
Spirit Within has its moments. Mortal Kombat is also, arguably, a pretty fun b-movie.
Also, Edge Of Tomorrow, etc. inasmuch as it's a "video game movie".

IN MY NIGHTMARES I SEE MY NORA BEHIND THE GLASS BEGGING TO ME WITH FROZEN EYES… HOW I'VE LONGED TO SEE THAT LOOK FROZEN ON YOU.

Watching this is like seeing what that old show Photon could have been

Awful as that movie was, I always thought Stuart Townsend was a sharp pick for Dorian Gray

I hadn't put that together and now I am delighted!

I figured Milk HAD made that deadpan joke, but the editors put it together as if she was talking for realsies, in order to goose her narrative

Warehouse Winnipeg — fighting crime!
