I don’t understand why someone would bypass the heater in favor of some janky aftermarket dash mounted unit that probably hardly even works.

Completely different animal.
Star for the classic Dennis Leary “Asshole” reference.
Anyone who’s spent any amount of time offroad knows that trucks suck in the backcountry. Even if you lift and add big tires, you’ve still got this massive vehicle that has problems navigating tight switchbacks and pushes other vehicles off the trail.
a) not all trucks have diesel power plants
“Jalopnik skipped out on buying the spy photos because, honestly, we were pretty skeptical.”
Totally. I was actually just thinking that this world didn’t have enough rigid definitions and mindsets.
That’s pretty damn stock dude. Tune can be changed with a laptop and cable.
To the nonbelievers: I’m not a Ford fan and never have been; but my lady recently bought a completely stock ‘014 3.5eb truck, and I love the thing. It’s quick, doesn’t feel any weight when the bed is loaded, gets in the 20's on the highway, and has a tow rating over 10k lbs. I wasn’t a believer.
A) someone who builds/buys/owns this doesn’t want a 4x truck. It’s for style nor backcountry access.
Unpopular opinion: I like the body kit, with the exception of the obviously damaged parts, how the Testarossa-esque scoops fail to continue through the doors (it would flow much better), and the transition to fender flare in the back. There’s too much upward angle going on.
Armor all and sun happened to those seats.
The resemblance is uncanny.
Aye, grazie!
I was with you until you put qualifications on the driver of the car. At the end of the day, who cares who drives these things, as long as we all get the youtube videos to watch and pictures to drool over.
CP!
I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one thinking that.
So much Trailer Park Boys.
Anyone else notice this:
I was looking at another one recently that was priced just as ridiculously. I realize that people must be paying these prices (otherwise they wouldn’t persist), but come on people! Remember when water cooled busses were put out on the curb with a free sign?
