@Jim-Bob: Ooops . . . . . this is something I should understand and I don't (i.e I did know Tatra was Czech, didn't know I shouldn't refer to that as Soviet Block as opposed to Soviet), if anyone needs me I'll be on Wikipedia.

@Jim-Bob: Really! Now I'm seriously kicking myself, I could've driven it to Russia and sold it, how awesome a road trip would that be! I'd naively thought they'd be worth more in the west. I'm the same with the weird Soviet cars, top of my list (like many, I think) is a Tatra 603 . . . . . . that's the dream . . . .

@The Slurpee Man: It's a Tatra 603 for me, if I ever have enough money.

@Jim-Bob: Years ago I nearly bid on one on ebay, still kind of wish I had, although I had nowhere to keep it and was about to leave the country, so it would have been a silly purchase. It was somewhere around the £500 mark if I remember rightly, and sitting in a barn somewhere in SE England. . . . . . . . should have

This is an awesome idea, I love it!

@Doug Radcliffe: although I seem to remember this one being an outright favorite, at least for a while

I had lots of unusual cars in my toybox back in the day (in fact, are they still in my mums garage? . . . .might be), one of the more bizarre ones that springs to mind was one of these babys

My money's on the Phaeton, well designed, well built and good looking, but just not around in the numbers that it's class rivals are. Total cult classic material.

@Metalface Eagle: I get the same reaction when I try to tell my Mum that her Berlingo'll be a classic one day, for the same reasons, too, It's a practical workhorse car of the first order, and for that reason many of them will be driven to death. People will have fond memories of them and those that survive will I'm

@Baby Beater Benz: I know it's crazy, but I've wanted one of these since I was a little boy. Still do. . . . .
