He was great in probably every role he got, but Apollo Creed will probably be as ageless as the Italian Stallion.

Rocky 3 is the only Rocky I think from the original franchise that can be said to be the equal of the original film.  And Weathers was absolutely iconic, the Rocky/Apollo team up is so emotionally resonant.  Rocky being defeated, then humbling himself to team up with his old nemesis is just such a great storyline.

Jesus, this scene got a lot more emotional.
