@pierrebuz: I still haven't found something perfect for me. Evernote has been able to handle scanning in and searching for items on receipts, however, I mainly want to scan in and be able to search through my handwritten notes. Unfortunately, my handwriting is so sloppy, nothing I have found has been able to

@pfurrie: Would you be adding more continually? Or do you have a set number you need to convert? Also, what OCR software do you have/use?

I wonder if Evernote/OneNote and Adobe are only on the list and doing well in the poll because they are either free, or are already on most people's computers, not because they are any better, because frankly, price aside, FineReader is probably the most solid OCR. Also, agreeing with Derfel, most probably haven't

@chaws: I used Unison for a while when I just started working with Ubuntu. I then switched to Grsync because I liked it's UI better. I however did not realize it was cross-platform. I have done a bit of batch scripting, so I will look into it!

@TSMontana: Many claim to, I know for a fact even Evernote's OCR claims to recognize handwriting , however, I haven't gotten perfect results, probably because my handwriting is far from neat at best. Anyway, point of story, yes, most should.

@newsgroups.fr: Thank you! I was wondering why I couldn't find it in the feature requests page. I guess that means it's even further along in the development process! Good news for me!

@newsgroups.fr: Oh, thank you, I did not take the time to read their twitter feed! I'm going to head over to their feature requests page right now!

Is there a good, easy to use, portable, preferably open-source, multi-platform syncing option? I use both Windows and Ubuntu in my daily routine, and I would really like to have one portable software to use to sync all of my computers.

I use it whenever I need to log into a website on another person's computer. I think it should be common courtesy, unfortunately, many who use my computer don't understand what it is or how to access it, so I end up trying to send an email to someone, only then to realize that I've been signed into the wrong

@Andrew King: Is the CD rewritable? Or does this only recover the data?

@Pimanrules: Same with me, I quickly passed out all my invites for both only to find out the next day or so that they went public. Oh well... I still feel slightly special...

The source is even the same as the iOS app... The only difference I see is that the Yahoo symbol is purple in the screenshot.

@YokoHizeck: I would use The Renamer, its a great program. Unfortunately, the actual moving process isn't as fast as I would like.

While this gives a very nice, clean look, especially for a DIY, I think this is a bit more versatile, and a cheaper option.
