Q: How is this better than a spare battery?
They couldn't just spring for the original music that was in the film. Would have been more entertaining that way.
I'd rather a pure EV Miata.
I commented in another article that this is what we should be using Natal/Kinect for, i.e. robot vision.
So is this a hydrogen PEM fuel cell, as opposed to a direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC)?
I think where it really could be useful is in robot vision and human robot interaction. I saw a PR2 robot, similar to the one in this video, at RoboGames a couple months ago.
@lawrencesmith9: No year was assigned to those events. It's just that they happened before the action of the movie. It's still not an alternate history story unless you consider all fiction to be alternate history.
@madisomi: philosophsaur: definitely. "suppose you're tired of interacting with the world..."
Does Red Dawn really count as alternate history?? It came out in the '80s and I saw it as set in the then near future. It was a time when people were still worried about WWIII with the then Soviets. Just because that didn't happen doesn't make the film alternate history.
@ultra76: Agreed!
@skywalker24: Yeah... I'm thinking mainly of that Burley Brawl where all of a sudden Neo no longer looked photo realistic and appeared like he was made out of rubber. Really took me out of the moment. Also in that scene the music had this odd operatic techno instead of the cool high energy techno of the first film.
I actually thought The Phantom Menace trailer looked pretty cool when it came out, though I hated the name.
Here's a video I took of the door handle on the Tesla Model S prototype at the LA premiere last year.
Pretty sure this is part of the reason why the cabbies didn't want GPS in there in the first place.
@Novaload: It's Johnny Cab
The nice thing about the RealD system is they use circular polarization, so the image doesn't get screwed up if you happen to tilt your head. It's also able to work with a single projector by simply alternating frames with left and right handed polarization.
I'm morally opposed to the use of the term "near-floater."
@se7a7n7: Does that still work? I used to do it all the time when I was in high school (early '90s) with a paper clip. I didn't even have to unscrew the receiver. #wargames2
