The family SW2 didn’t burn that much oil and it had over 300,000 miles on the clock when scrapped. It would burn about a half-quart between oil changes. Slow enough that we never bothered with it.

They replaced mine in my 2013 veloster ( at 95,000 miles)in December no cost. Added another 150,ooo miles on the waranty. So shit engine but decent waranty.

I don’t know what the mileage was, but my 92 Saturn SL2 used a quart a week. Never changed it and the car made it to 222,000 miles before I got rid of it.

Checking this list, I’m glad my 2014 Santa Fe isn’t on it, but find that odd because there’s only a two-year gap between all the Santa Fes that are on it. The only real problem I have with mine is that it’s gas consumption around town is unusually low compared with the EPA local-driving estimate. Curiously, there

So I said fuck that and now I’m stuck buying $40 five quart bottles of Mobil 1 High Mileage every month or so to keep the car topped up while I figure out what my next steps are.

I work in the CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control) department of biotech company in late-stage clinical trials. Manufacturing anything that is even slightly complex is nightmarishly difficult.

Why buy expensive oil? Burn the cheap stuff.

Yay my car is on the list!  Its been fine thus far, little over 80k on my 2013 Veloster.  Will be interesting if this moves forward.

Or you can even just take it to Jiffy Lube and they’ll top it off for free. That’s what I did when I had a Genesis 5.0. The kids working there never cared that I didn’t get the oil changed there; never even asked.

About 70k miles on our Niro and no oil consumption issues, only issue have had was one injector went bad, it actually worked fine but the electronics went faulty triggering a CEL. Had someone I worked with had a Sonata that had started burning a bit of oil, some but not bad, then the shop didn’t put the drain plug on

The orange turd is just taking advantage of people, as grifters do. The MAGA crowd was around before he took it over, it was called the Tea Party. That doesn’t clear him of responsibility for what it is now.

I don’t think you’re aware of how much treatment of mental illness in the US is severely lacking. The mentally ill are having rallies with thousands, ever heard of Q-Anon?

Yeah people forget that the 80s were “work hard party hard do all the coke cuz the shitshow could go up in flames at any second.” The president was obviously senile. All my favorite media was about death by nuclear fire or ecological catastrophe. Now I'm near 50 and this is like eh.

Right. Sure. That explains why the predominantly GOP states had far higher rates of COVID infection and deaths. Purely accidental coincidence.

Worse? The “FUCK YOU FEELINGS” party will be worse if they are embarrassed enough to see they are in a cult?

I’m having a really hard time understanding what you’re saying.

Sure. If it had happened under Obama then they would still have thought that it was a lie. Is that your position?

Kinda. MAGA is a symptom, not a cause, in my opinion. MAGA’s followers want to believe COVID is a lie because that makes it easier to deal with, so they listen to the people that tell them it’s a lie. They’re scared of what’s happening in the world, and MAGA gives them an easy way to redirect that fear at something or

They see masks the way their cult leader told them to see them - as a violent attack on their persons. They are told the disease is a lie. That every one who believes in either masking or Covid is worse than a Nazi.

A lot of people never knew how to behave in the first place. It’s an entitlement/poor education thing.
