Back at ya!
You're meshuga.*
GREAT COTD! STP brought back memories and I was reminded that they were once owned by Studebaker-Packard. That got me to doing some Googling. Studebaker never really went away, the company was just merged and sold and resold... I guess like old soldiers, old companies never die, they just fade away.
Remember the good old days when most Jews drove Buicks? My father always said, "you can tell the people in a town who can afford a Cadillac; they drive a Buick". This one will hold nine in comfort - Ray can run along side.
Nice to read something by Sam Smith on here again, even if it was just a link. Brett Berk is a riot and I always enjoy his writing. Mike Levine always works his truck fetish in nicely to any occasion. Ray? Ray should get back to the model of the Packard factory he's building out of swizzle sticks.
Let me get this straight, are they offering to pay someone $1,200 to haul it away?
I joke about Ramblers but, you have to give them credit for hanging on long after the other independents went away. It could be argued that they never totally died given that the Jeep brand is still alive and kicking.
I kind of like it, but I'm strange and old. I'd probably be driving Ramblers now if they still made them.
My friend Justin (may he RIP) locked himself in his new Mercedes just a few months ago. He was messing around trying to override codes so he could watch movies while he drove. He had to call M-B to get him out. I miss Justin.
He was born in 1952; I wonder how many times he has to stop and pee on the way from the gate to the house?
themls.com shows it as a short pay with a sale pending. I haven't been able to find out how long it was on the market.
Haven't seen you around in awhile. I noticed Kris T's former '59 Olds 98 made it into Hemmings Classic Car. Glad it found a good home.
I had to get my Cadillac guide out to be sure, but it's a Sedan deVille. The door trim was different on all the series and the Series 62 had armrests and door handles much like the Impala - only fancier. Also, the "chrome" strip on the side is not original so it has probably been repainted at least once and they…
The merger is paying off, none of the former Jalopnik staff could have done investigative work like this by themselves. Google reported that searches on their engine have fallen off 15% since Ray Wert left the automobile "journalism" field.
Dude, Ray is gone and everyone knows he was the one on the former Jalopnik who was shilling for GM. Just ask Jack Baruth. His efforts earned him a nice condo in Miami and the use of an Aveo (excuse me, Sonic) for life. He's in Florida in strange shorts and white dress shoes playing shuffleboard as I type this.
Now, back to the business at hand. Umm, maybe I should rephrase that...
Any word on when the print version of Autoblognik will be out?
This isn't a joke. Thankfully, Ray is held in high regard in the media industry and already has a new job; he delivered my newspaper this morning. Next time it better not be in the bushes, Wert!
Yeah, well fuck them! Let me know when you find a camping spot, Ray, and I'll bring beer.
