@Imnotu: My guess is that was due to AAA planning his route. :)

@TVs_Frank: I enjoyed the vid and envied anyone who would/could make a trip like that in a classic old car. I don't really pay that much attention to clothing and fashion, it's just so much window dressing. Funny, when I meet someone I always look at their eyes. If their eyes are right I can get along with them.

@TVs_Frank: My first thought was, "holy shit, a '66 Chrysler 300 convertible!" I guess I'm more into cars than fashion.

Now playing

I've shared this before but, this is how you do cross-country.

@Dirt Pirate: Scary, but that's how bankers rolled back in the day. Maybe that's why people kept their payments up back then. Would you f*&k with a guy in a car like this?

@Dirt Pirate: They had "attitudes" and personalities.

I figured if they had a sense of humor they'd list it in their new car inventory. I checked. They don't and they didn't.

Full Disclosure: I wasn't paid to be in the movie nor am I being paid to say any of this.

I am saddened to hear of Mr. Jordan's passing. On a different level, I am saddened that Mr. Welburn's visit to Jalopnik occured on a Friday night when it would not receive the traffic and replies of appreciation it justly deserves.

@Sam Smith: Sam, thanks for stopping by and giving us the 411 on your departure. Yes, you were and are well liked here on Jalopnik. We can be like a bunch of old women at a beauty salon around here and the ensuing gossip and speculation on why you left got a little disjointed.

@OG_: It was my impression that Sam wanted to return to a medium where he can spend more time developing a story rather than the spit 'em out blog world. Really, Sam here was like putting a rope on a thuroughbred and charging kids $.50 for a two minute ride in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

@Roberto G.: I was hanging around to promote Roberto's comment.

Yeah, a goodlooking Czech woman would be something of a oddity.

Luella Parsons wrote in her Hollywood gossip column this account of a dinner several stars enjoyed at the legendary Chasen's.

My guess is that the thing has rotted off by now and is, like Steve, just a memory.

@Novaload: Thanks, it's a path littered with heartbreak and loneliness.

Might be a consulting job for you there, Ray...
