IKR. Although I'm not sure why they bothered, I'm positive that smug hacky fuck Adam will ruin that too.

I accidentally clicked the sponsored article the other day, The "6 memorable instances where popular culture was debunked" one. Number one was JAW DROPPING.

Leonard Nimoy and Prince were the only ones recently that made an impact on me. But I was surprised how much of an effect their deaths had- like legit sad and mildly depressed for a week or two. Ruminating on mortality and all that. And yea, I think you have to become a fan kinda youngish for it to have that kind

Glad you liked him! And yea, celeb deaths aren't really a thing for me either. I kinda shrug my shoulders at "This year sucks because celebs X, Y and Z died" statements. Although as I get older I've been impacted more often. Some of my revered childhood influences are starting to age into the "elderly" cohort.

RIP Rowdy, my all time favorite as well. I've seen "They Live"…..more times than I care to admit. How do you feel about the Scotsman in Samurai Jack? He certainly qualifies as "unhinged :)

I had a couple chuckles myself. And then realized how low my expectations are for GJ,I features.

Because they do it so often and so poorly.

Yea, he sounds kinda like he's had a stroke :( Burt Ward is 71 himself but sounds much better.

Dude IS really old… like 87.

Brooks>Mighella>Landis it is.

As far as scions of Hollywood comedic royalty named Max go, Brooks > Landis. I really wish it wasn't such a hyper-specific category 'cause there would be a whoooooole lotta Max's in between.

I will leap to Mr. Threepwood's defense- he said "rare". The 4 movies El Santo mentioned are indeed better than their originals. However in the column labeled "inferior" we have, like, every other sequel ever made ever that aren't those ones.

At least you're not feeling panicked. Rabin might write you a 1,500 word rebuttal about how that's mystifyingly unfunny and take away all your upvotes.

Go away…. clickbaitin'

West Coast family here, not much chance to get east. We do have quite the vinyl collection of The King however.

Dad with a houseful of four daughters here. At the risk of not reaching the mandated AVClub comment snark minimum, I would like to give the most heartfelt shout out to the president for his superhuman level of composure and decency. Quibble with his politics and executive effectiveness all you want, but watching him

I have 10 answers to that question that the media doesn't want you to know. # 6 is JAW-DROPPING!!!

Just re-watched this last week. Hadn't seen it since I took my daughters to it in the theater. Can't say enough about how great it is. I originally had low expectations for sci-fi plot that I thought likely to be insufferably zany and cliché. Instead was treated to a bracingly real portrait of family- messy,

Not very. I took my 15 year old daughter and I don't recall cringing at anything.
