races for you while you are away???

C-c-c-c-c-consumer rights breaker!

I'm gonna refer to RYSE as Call of Duty: Roman Warfare from now on.

Funny thing is - in the book they *were* slow and dumb. But the movie needed to be "cool" and "edgy".

I'm refusing to even listen about this movie, because they have completely, 100% missed the entire point of the book (which, I should add, it probably the most interesting take on the zombie genre I've ever read).

Zero: The amount of fucks given for the actual plot of the WWZ novel by the screenwriter.

INNNNNNPUT!

Fuck you. All those hoops you bang on about being on PC as well is EXACTLY the reason I don't bother with PC games. I want to turn my console on, put the disc in the tray, close it, and play. I'm going to invest in a console because it's a console. Fuck PC gaming and fuck console gaming for trying to be like PC

I've heard a more generic version: "If you aren't paying for it, you are the product"

Oh, they're listening to their customers alright. Only the customers aren't us. We are the product.

I think I'll notice when none of my Xbox One games work when the Xbox Two has been on the market for a bit of time and they shut down authentication for Xbox One. I only mention it because just last week I was able to play my copy of God Hand (PS2) without any problems. I mean they did shut down the online components

Go eat shit, asshole. He IS working out. I guess you don't understand that losing hundreds of pounds doesn't fucking happen over night.

I have been a loyal Xbox user since the first one and have bought all my multi-platform games this generation on the 360.

I will be passing on the Xbox One with this crap. It is so anti-consumer that it is infuriating. How anyone at Microsoft thinks this is a good idea is beyond belief.

Hopefully Sony has been

Seriously, why aren't they working 24/7 like the rest of us???

To all the people saying that it doesn't seem like a big deal. I want to point out that if I go downstairs into my storage bins, I can pull out a working, intact N64, an SNES, and a Playstation 2, walk back upstairs, plug them in and be playing them in no time.

There is a wild difference. Sony doesn't have an online requirement that polices DRM and locks you out if you don't connect. They haven't announced a system that makes used games only available at retail. They don't restrict how many times you can loan something out.

Talking point detected. Seeing that one a lot as well.

Sony already confirmed online is not a requirement, while for the xbone it is, and their entire DRM scheme depends on that connection.

To see the problems with 'always-on' requirements. Please go research Diablo 3 and Simcity.

To those saying "well now it's just like Steam or iOS" - Digital Steam games aren't exactly the same as a physical game disc for a console though... You're right in that it's generally accepted policy for PC/iOS gamers, but this is new grounds for consoles, no two ways about it. It will be a shock and a big turn off
