Thanks! I will look into that. (I'm only recently back in to PC gaming, which is why my shelf is full of classics!) It's actually been a frustrating experience so far, but I haven't given up.

That's a rationalization. They released the unit ahead of schedule to bolster their fiscal reports which were suffering from lagging DS sales. They're concerned about the shareholders, not third party developers, but, like the Easter Bunny, some fantasies are nice this time of year.
I agree with your point that it won't flop, but I'm guessing the sales from all three games you mentioned wouldn't hold a candle to what the 3DS Pokemon will do.
It's a real shame that it's so difficult to play these games again. I'd love another go at Ultima Underworld and System Shock, both of which I have on the shelf, right next to Wing Commander 4 and many other games I'd love to play again.
I believed you. :)
No. Which makes this video an exercise in stupidity.
Well, it's not a very robust system. Just a couple hard drives, DVD, mid-range Intel processor from a couple years ago, 4GB ram and the GTX460.
Regarding drivers, I've tried the drivers included with the card and the latest WHQL package from Gigabyte.
I recently posted how I was disappointed with my attempt to get back into PC gaming because of a purchase I made on Steam months ago that I couldn't play recently when I installed it recently because they had run out of CD keys.
There should certainly be a separation. Abuse on the forums (whether this rises to abuse or not is an entirely different question) should only result in punishment related to the forums.
It's not the quality of phone/iOS games that concerns them, but rather the potential that people will purchase them in lieu of purchasing higher priced games on their systems.
...without spending $30 on a Nintendo DS cartridge...
For your own protection, stay away from that friend when they are:
A story that will still have some connections between the movie and the video games, he said.
While I was being facetious in my criticism of the pick, I am curious if DDR could have survived by being anything other than the last pick. I suppose we'll have the answer to that shortly. Can't wait!
While I agree that total agreement is unattainable, I disagree this is a pointless exercise. I find it extremely interesting to hear what these guys and fellow commenters think, especially when they offer reasons for their choices.
I find the soul crushing look of despair followed by the clenching tension of anger as your peers vote your idea down rather enjoyable. Plus then you get a whole new dimension of backscratching and backstabbing.
The unfortunate thing about this list is that it allows an individual person veto power over a single entry on the list, hence you end up with games like Dance Dance Revolution on the list. A developer with good taste then has to essentially waste their turn to correct such a glaring mistake.
It's all in how you define 'best.' When you look at the fantastic history of how Tetris came to be, and the literal race to snatch up publishing rights, total sales and universal appeal, it's easy to see why some would put it in this list.
Modern games are also far more complicated than their predecessors, which presents more opportunity for problems. The testing community would never be as thorough or creative as the gaming public at large, so why should developers spend excessive time and money on testing? That will only delay games and drive up…
