Wii Sports Bowling.

How refreshing to see a view of economics that can't be condensed to an inane picture of duplicating pigs that is posted relentlessly on any thread about piracy.

Great point. Also, if you can't afford a game when it comes out and is $60, wait a year and you can buy it new for half the price.

Imagine your neighbor wants your car. Instead he copies it. Your used car sits in your driveway, devaluing because of diminished demand and artificially inflated supply. Imagine the world isn't a simple as a stupid graphic you found on the internet to justify being cheap.

That's blaming the victim. There are a lot of things I want to own or experience that are not within my budget, so I don't get to. That is a fact of life.

I made the argument, facetiously of course, that Pokemon was a game 'only Mike Vick could love,' during a discussion about government involvement in rating and censoring games. I was giving examples of how even the most innocent games could be described by those with an agenda.

Agreed, and, for me, it's even worse when I hear some little kid use a swear grammatically incorrectly.

Look over there! A Persian king! Achievement Unlocked: Shah Sited.

Okay, my Wii has been disconnected for over a year, but I moved it to a new location and reconnected it last night.

Clearly their mistake was making it out of metal. The real buster sword is made of angst and hair gel.

@Skychrono: It does say any home console, and I think it is significant that the 3DS is more than the Wii.

...but it's hard to see a new portable gaming machine — even one that runs a beautiful version of Uncharted — costing more than any home console.

Scariest Tyra Banks ever.

@mykalt45: My estimate is in line with competitors. How much does an iPod Touch/iPhone cost? What about an iPad? Nintendo isn't the only player in the portable gaming market.

@mykalt45: Yes, I believe it will be priced more than the current price of a console that was released five years before it.

@catxflash: I'll reserve my judgment on hand cramping until actually using one. I fear the analog controls will be painful to use.

@William Henry Harrison: Agreed. It is as much of a portable gaming device as the iPhone/iPod Touch, and I'm guessing will be more comparable in price to the Ingeepee.

@wtf_G: I agree the screen will look nice, but for me the PSP was already only marginally portable, and certainly not pocketable, so I can see that being a nit for some.
