That's because it's good plastic, and it's not made in China- it's made at a manufacturer that's as close to their primary market (Boston) as possible to avoid excess shipping and make local jobs.

It put broadcast television to shame. This was more on the level of really good cable TV, maybe even premium-access stuff like HBO and Showtime. Broadcast TV, in my experience, has largely failed to put out anything halfway decent in the last ten years.

It didn't rival it. It was better.

For me I'm Venezuelan and it bugs me that it has a generic kit + badge + the names of the players all randomized. Might as well just stick to PES.

Nope. I'm a Gooner, and any league willing to take Andre Santos into its ranks is one I'm staying away from.

Starbury's been playing in China for 3 years.

Given all the alternate versions of the same event, I can only assume this dunk video was directed by Akira Kurosawa.

Some say he only comments on Kotaku in morse code, and that, if HE had been in charge at Microsoft, the Xbox One would be the single greatest gift to mankind ever known. All we know is that he's called... THE STIG.

Good thing he wasn't on the other side of the Korea Strait, or that fan might have killed him!

ha!

Not really. It's not the cheapest lunch-related item, but it's not like that price is outrageous. It's not uncommon to pay more than that for a single lunch.

I think I have some plastic cups at home that could do the exact same thing. $8 is what you'd sell this for on fab.com, not to actual real-world human beings.

I would say interesting, rather than "great". One could argue against the merits of a glass lunchbox. That being said, I agree entirely on the terrible price point. For that much, I could buy a couple of leakproof food savers.

Oh, look, I just made a standard tapered cylinder with lid that has an outer closed diameter of just smaller than a mason jar and am selling 4 for $5. And you can use it for more than hanging in a mason jar!

$8 for something you could replace with a rinsed out applesauce tub?

It's not like it's something you buy everyday and it's cheaper than a lot of other lunchboxes and accessories anyway.

"Patent pending"...

Agreed. But what this really means is that there must be really high profit in this thing and someone else will replicate the idea for less. I.e., competition is a good thing.

Personally the names are extremely terrible. BNTO? Really?! Over half a million words in the English language, and we have to gut out some vowels.

Outside is this grind heavy, open world MMO. Not even in HD
