Laugh of the day.

It was funny and it is true. And I'm just fine with Netflix and television, in moderation, being used as a distraction for kids.

I'll be parent in November and have been a Netflix subscriber since its "early days." I'm thrilled that Netflix is dedicated to putting on children's programming.

The toughest, most physically demanding sport there is, is MMA. I've trained in many sports on the high school, collegiate and semi-pro levels and MMA was the toughest sport I ever participated in.

In terms of conditioning, soccer/football players are difficult to match. There is no elite soccer/football player the

Standard procedure in completing an arrest on a busy highway as a solo officer is not "hands on your head, turn around, walk over" and apply cuffs.

I don't know anything about a cop putting his foot under a Ferrari's tire or what that has to do with this incident.

Is it trendy again to dislike law enforcement?

Pulling him down and arresting him out of the way of flowing traffic, like he did, was restraining him safely. Looks like there was plenty of moving vehicles to be concerned about.

I am official on notice!

Alas, we are humans first, employees second. If an employer is incapable of understanding this rudimentary fact, they need not hire humans, but procure automatons.

It was that "worker bee" mentality that shot us to the top of the world's productivity list; it also killed us.

"I'm a cat."

"I'm a cat again."

"Cat. Cat. Cat. Cat."

"Giant Bomb is all about the cat."

"Cat dive!"

"OOOOOOOH, I'M NO LONGER THE CAT!"

Kirk Hamilton must have been babysitting his 8-year-old cousin. Nice of you to bring him along, Kirk.

Welcome. Well, the degree of which you will be toast depends on the time you'll be commuting. Santa Monica Blvd. is the most direct route to take, but it definitely gets congested by people doing the same thing as you or trying to get to the 405. You could be spending 30 minutes or more to go 10-12 miles.

No problem! I completely understand where you're coming from regarding the transition from auto-to-manual gearboxes. I owned nothing but autos for about 11 years and after eight months with my Subaru, I won't be going back to an auto as a personal car.

"...occasional inconvenience on the 405..."

It's not for everyone.

After a session of leg training at the gym, my Subie's manual gearbox becomes perplexing and laborious in LA traffic. But as soon as I'm free of traffic, I'm quite thrilled.

that have been in place since the time of Franklin.

I understand your points, respectfully.

Benjamin Franklin cannot effectively make an intelligent declaration about privacy and liberty using incomplete data. My point is that we should be wary of using 200+ year old quotes as "scripture," and be a little more pragmatic.

Off-topic a bit: I'm afraid their words don't have the same application today as they did 200 years ago. There's no way to say, without a shadow of doubt, that Benjamin Franklin would have the same opinion in a world of IEDs, dirty bombs, assault rifles, and cyber-terrorists. Times change and so do people.

Excellent.

I think they've just haven't found the right management/formation scheme yet. They always seem on the verge...

Does it matter?

Good music is good music, regardless of genre-snobbery.
