They won’t, even with a good rollout. This is EA priming the Axe, shutting down their live service game, next will be the servers for Dragon Age and Mass Effect MP (last gen), and then finally they’ll be shuttered, mass lay offs and some folks will be reincorporated into other studios. Honestly, I’m a little shocked…

I vaguely recall provisions in twitter’s fine print about transferring data when an account is handed over, from when I was trying to figure out who is squatting on my email handle on twitter. What I recall is the current owner can decide to clear all data before transfer or leave existing data in place.
