The McElroys all bring a great balance to their PUBG games. Griffin gets possessed by Master Chief’s Best Friend now and then but thankfully his brothers are aggressively glib and terrible enough to keep his Serious Gamerism in check.

Nah, he was absolutely encouraging Trump as he was saying how he planned to greet Bush’s coworker by kissing her, how she would let him, how “they” let you do anything when you’re a star. There’s not a trace of discomfort in his laughs, no attempts to change the subject. If you let people talk that way about the women

Nah, at no point in his boasting does he discuss women’s attraction to him. Immediately before the “You can do anything” quote, he saw the pretty woman he was about to meet for the first time and talked about how it is likely he will start kissing her. “I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her.

The fact that he bragged about peeping on 14 year olds changing at Miss Teen USA has a lot less room for excuses. The dude’s a gross predator no matter how you cut it.

Also I think it’s interesting that Trump didn’t brag to Billy Bush that women throw themselves at him. He bragged that they don’t resist when he grabs

Never saw the youtube channel and probably won’t seek it out, but the show grew on me.

Yeah, I enjoyed it too. I guess that puts us in an extreme minority on the AV Club. And I enjoyed seeing how the characters became more sympathetic up through the second season. But oh well, it ended at a good point with something like a happily-ever-after.

He used to be Whyiseveryonesostupid1987. Then Whyiseveryonesostupid1988. Emailing jmodell@theonion.com has helped. With enough shadowbans his account will eventually reach a date that is age-appropriate to his posting style.

Yeah and I’m sure people in war-torn countries would respond differently to depictions of extreme violence than first world otaku in Japan and the US do, but a lot of us first worlders still know what it was like to be sexually preyed upon as children.

“If we purge every single celebrity in Hollywood who has ever done any wrong, there won’t be any one left.”

Sex offender registries exist because people understand that even if people do penance and we forgive them and their public image gets a makeover, many abusers return to their abusive habits when they are given the opportunity. Mel Gibson was demonstrating his misogyny, homophobia, anti-Semitism and racism in

IYou keep conflating his lack of ethics with his talent, as if we would have to give up on the existence of talented people creating things if we demanded they be ethical. There are innumerable talented, beautiful, intelligent people in the world who don’t beat the mother of their children or obligate employees to

The free market works by people like me saying “no thanks, I’ll see any other movie instead,” and people like you who stop giving a shit as soon as Handsome Dude successfully changes the subject. Hopefully someday there will be enough people like me to lead to change that outlasts news trends, but don’t worry, the

Why should their reward for redemption be that they get to go back to their old incredibly privileged life as if nothing happened? Especially when it means they resume getting job opportunities that would otherwise go to people who haven’t been abusive? That sort of good fortune is rarely afforded to the people they

Maybe because we haven’t been murdered but a whole bunch of us have been (or know people who have been) sexualized and abused as children.

My approach is to keep people who abuse power out of positions of power where they may continue to abuse people.

Good loooooord I cannot even figure out where to begin with this post. Not only am I personally obligated to forgive him, again, just like the dozens of other times his words and actions and beliefs and messages were treated as no big deal, but it’s on me, on all of us to ensure our feelings don’t get in the way of

Sounds exactly like apathy to me but congratulations on bravely absolving a guy for repeatedly abusing other people. The Good Ol Boys raises a glass to your magnanimousness.

Never said a damned thing about jail. Cool strawman for apologists scrambling for a high ground though!

You scared me into hiding behind my couch as a child.

It really depends on the city. I’m a Lyft driver in Denver and I do pretty good business. My sister is a Lyft and Uber driver in Omaha and I believe she gets pretty good business from both, though she gets more rides from Uber and nicer passengers from Lyft.
