ask that question to yourself, because you seem quite triggered over the whole thing. lol

Sure, bud. It’s the Porsche owners who have fragile egos. Not the vapid man-baby who buys entire companies on a whim (only to burn billions by failing by every conceivable metric) and his bootlicking fans.
Who cares? Very clearly Tesla cared since they invented the story ...
Once the Scion xB went out of production, they all migrated over to the Kia Soul and haven’t looked back. Honestly, it’s easy to see why. They are easy to get in and out of, still relatively analog, have enough room to pick up the grandkids and their strollers, and can be afforded on a tight social security budget.
They simply cannot get enough of these piles o shit.
The goal of this legislation was to bring battery production to the US, not necessarily to make cars cheaper. If making cars cheaper was the sole goal we would have reduced the barriers to entry, not made them harder. This was more about protecting jobs and fighting a geo-political struggle with China than making…
Yeah and we shouldn’t subsidize oil, corn, eggs, etc. etc.
Well, yeah. Should taxes be used to pay for individual’s cars though? I ask that as someone who owns an EV that got the tax credit (via lease) in 2021. I loved saving money, but tax payers shouldn’t have covered that.
Yep, the dad’s a multimillionaire and was charged with a misdemeanor for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A parent who can afford to give their child a Lamborghini, can probably afford an $18M settlement
Holy shit what in the actual fuck did I just read?
I have been working with teenagers for 25 years. I have learned to never underestimate the stupidity of people.
Yup, that’ll happen.
Glad to see it’s not just me. On a recent 1700-mile roadtrip, everytime I was tailgated, cut off, etc., it was a Chrysler (Stellantis?) Charger, Challenger, and whatever the jacked-up SUV is called. Passing a semi, signaling to get back in lane, and almost clipped by the SUV. Braking hard when Interstate traffic ahead…
The Nissan Altima is just driven by people with 300 credit scores and no drivers license, not necessarily idiots.
The Nissan Altima is the obvious answer, but there’s another that I’ve observed in my commute: Dodge Chargers. They’re getting up there in years and don’t hold value. As a result, they’re landing in buy-here pay-here lots and being snatched up by idiots.
I dont mean to make this overtly political, but over the past 40 years, one political party in particular has been using social wedge issues to win elections. That includes telling a portion of the country they should never have to feel even remotely sorry about anything, no matter how awful the behavior is. That…
It’s because now we all have the means to share our opinions very easily. And anonymously.
I actually think there is a difference. We’ve normalized harassment and death threats over trivial issues, and people have access to a culture that eggs them on. Without comment boards and the pursuit of likes, a lot of these people would still be decent.
He’s not wrong, but I feel as though the issue isn’t that the loudest assholes forget that these are people, it’s that they’re assholes and they just don’t care.
