A deceptive Tesla stunt? Never.

Cool, then get a radio and store it in your basement until you need it. No need to force auto makers to put it in your car, most likely buried under 3 submenus.

Generally speaking, if you’ve lost power, you don’t have a radio.  It would never occur to me to use AM radio to tune in anything significant.

If only some place sold tiny transistor radios that would fit in your pocket.

The problem with skip is you don’t know exactly who is going to be able to hear it.  It’s not reliable as to location.

If they want to keep AM for public safety, they can pick one frequency and reserve it across the United States. Clear out 5 KHz of the best spectrum and treat them like the EBS where you can activate it in affected areas via a few 50-100 kW antennas. Use it for regional emergency weather alerts, national security

Alas, no. The amount of bureaucratic inertia within the DoD means this is . . . well, not technically impossible, but so expensive it would certainly not be worth it.

“I don’t know why Space Force thinks these second objects are apogee kick motors—is it just an (incorrect) guess on their part or do they have classified sensor data that is leading them to this conclusion?”

Annoying and juvenile as it’s conception was, the “Space Force” actually server a useful role within the overall DOD organizational structure.

Chinese state-run Xinhua news agency said the spacecraft “entered the planned orbit successfully” and that it “will be mainly used to test and verify space debris mitigation technologies.”

Having never been in the back of a McDonald's I thought I was missing something. There's a difference between a milkshake and a McFlurry.

You need to have a Sonic in your area, first.

...or Chic-Fil-a, where you also get treated with dignity and a smile.

I don’t know why the WSJ is mischaracterizing this as a McFlurry issue. The issue is with the soft serve ice cream machines. The actual “McFlurry machine” just spins the plastic spoon around to blend in toppings and works just fine.
