Yeah, they think my girl was born wild. She’s one of the sneakiest gals around, it’s kind of adorable.

sometimes it’s a matter of just not knowing better. thank god there are people who are like you and me that wouldn’t be able to just let a dog stay stray when they aren’t feral or if they think they might be lost you try to find their home but it’s not always a matter of not doing the right thing, if you just don’t

yup if the dog has been living on the streets most of their life they are pretty sly and don’t want to be caught because they are afraid. my dog was living semi feral on the street for 2 years before he was injured and someone trapped him in their garage.

She may have been trying to befriend the dog slowly. Street dogs can be wary of people and take a lot of time (or getting stuck in a tire) to be able to catch.

It’s a pit mix. Some shelters don’t adopt pit anything out depending on where they are. That means a death sentence.

My dog was a slippery character as well. I’m convinced that she only came home with me because the weather was getting colder.

We have a neighbor that just loves to tell the hysterical story of how they tried to leave their cat behind but the durned thing found its way onto the moving truck and ended up coming with them. Oooohh heeheeeheehee hilarity! Assholes. The same cretins have a kid who tells my kid that he should go to church.

Sometimes the dog is too sneaky to get caught. My pup lived wild for years before I got her, she lived in an abandoned house and a neighbor lady fed her. They kept calling rescue orgs and the dog would out fox them every time. Only reason they caught her the last time was because the poor thing was hit by a car.

Your pun fell flat.

Thank you for what you do for the pups.

Well city rules do vary but-

my very first thought was “oh god I hope this has a happy ending” I’m sooo glad it does!

I mean yes in someways it’s better, but then again shelters are over crowded and the dog may end up put down very quickly because of lack of space. Also culture factors into this, in some places stray animals are just really common in their neighborhood, so nice people feed them but don’t always take step to remedy

When I find a dog in the street I try first to find the owner. I put up flyers, check Craigslist, and post there. Back in ye olden days when people used the want ads in the papers I would put a Found ad in the paper. Then I take the dog to the local shelter and have it scanned for a microchip and file a Found Dog

Nah, that argument is tire-d.

I’m glad that little buddy is ok.

Happens to cats all the time. #teamdog

This is much sadder and much cuter than any kid getting their head stuck in a banister could ever be. I say this as a kid who got their head stuck in a banister.

Ok #teamcat. Come at us with all yer nonsense about how much smarter cats are than dogs. As if smart ever got anybody anywhere. Or anywhere fun at least.

Poor puppy! I’m glad this had a happy ending and that Jimma let people help her without freaking out.
