I wouldn’t be in no hurry to level up, the game just gets grindy as fuck later and it gets harder and harder to even catch the low CP pokemon

I can go out and walk for an hour (or bike an hour and half out and back, for example) and find maybe 5 or 6 things, if I’m lucky, that aren’t the same ultra-common bird/rat/bug combo that are literally everywhere.

You just don’t understand the fun game mechanics that Niantic envisioned. Those 9 pidgeys are what its all about! You have to be moving around and find the other 81 as well though.

While true, leveling up mostly just means that you start to see higher and higher CP pidgeys.

Or.. Just or.... That functuality was supposed to be there and they could never get it to work.. Considering the steps were supposed to show you how far the Pokemon were from you...

Pidgey and those worm thingies cost only 12 candies to evolve. Cheap level ups.

You know those pidgeys you don't want to bother with are the best way to level up.
