To bad it was originally designed and built in Italy. :(

Well, it's pretty. Is it an extra $20,000 pretty? No. But still pretty.

You might have been drunk when yoiu wrote this,,,, no worries. I'm drunk too.

Well, a light truck isn't the "optimum" starting point for a track.... but then again, unless it's a Caterham 7, what out there really is?

Well, as they say: "It's better to be lucky than good!" lol.

This is the correct answer. Mainly because they never went through an unfashionable period. Owners always loved them, and they never reached the price point where under-founded enthusiasts could afford to buy them, but not maintain them (unlike the 944, 928, 968, 914, etc...)

Interesting! Here in Germany you almost NEVER see them anymore. (Of course, the Germans are extravagant, and rarely drive a car older than ten years old.)

This came to my mind as well, but in reality it might just be wishful thinking. They certainly make the list, due largely to their bullet proof reliability, resistance to rust and general enthusiast following. But this not withstanding, a huge number of them have succumbed to neglect and have ended up in the junkyard.

Mark Hamill called.... he wants his car back.

Unless mine was replaced before I bought mine used at 80,000 miles or so, they seem to be good for 180,000 +! This was a bone stock motor of course. All of my money went into the suspension. and brakes. Any way, a used stock WRX turbo can be had for pennies on Ebay, if not free. All you have to do is replace it

As a soldier in the US Army... me too. (And I'm not sure why.)

Well, the Pontiac version is a little to garish for me. I prefer the Camaro. Still, this generation of F-body was the best that GM ever made in my opinion. I, for whatever reason, like these even better than the new Camaro.

Not really. As long as they have not been "tuned" these cars are pretty bullet proof. I used to have a Saab 9-2x Aero (WRX Wagon in Swedish drag). It was the most trouble free car I have ever had in my life. Bar none. And It had close to 160,000 miles on it when I sold it on.

Big 'ol thumbs up here. Still, I should think they are at the very least difficult to find... but not impossible. As long as your willing to do some driving and searching, I think the right one could be had at $2000... it would just take some honest work to find.

Serious? I'm pretty sure you can buy Toyotas in Iran too.... so is it no longer okay to buy a Prius?

'Ol Dave got into some trouble over a statutory rape charge of some sort... Pretty greazey stuff, eh?

FIAT Panda. 'Nuff said. This is what Italy drove in the eighties and nineties...

Man, it's like Daves Farm in an alternate universe! Only with weirder accents.... and less pedophilia.

OMG!!! kill it! KILL IT!!!!!!!

That's kinda cool... but what I really want is the new 320d. 68.9 mpg. No shit. 68.9 mpg. In a very nice four door sedan. That can handle.
