@Josh_Geyer: True that... really, at that price you could get into a decent 240Z... an infinitely better choice. Still, this 300ZX was pretty clean. I would say the proper advertising price should have been $3500, with a settled on price of $2500 or so.

Here is a list of what I found in a 500 mile search of the area surrounding my folks place back in Florida. $4000 to $5000... stick shifts only. I picked the a few of the one that were interesting.

@Vavon: Hell, you can get them in Europe for even less. Had a 92 Mini "Special" in Germany for $1500. But, give it a few years and it will happily relieve your wallet of well over $5000 in running costs.

@wolfy- Is getting a e30 before nurburgring!: Or, in the case of your above picture, E28! lol. But, yeah, totally feel you on the E30. Hell, as my daily driver proves, it's a fun car at $1000!

Fucking hell... I remember the first time I went there back in 2001. One lap was 20 Deutsch Marks (about $8)... Or was that the price of 5 laps? I can't even remember now. Any way, it was WAY less expensive.
