I am a man, and what does this mean...

I am a man and this article and the comments confirm to me that relationships are best when the man loves the woman more. And yes, that very often means the women should not date better looking men.

Too bad we have had to spend so much time dealing with the blowback.

Yes, significantly.

Also, for people who advocate for not sending non-violent felons to prison:

Has it been announced that Joan was “sidelined” or has she just been publishing significantly fewer articles?

Also the World Baseball Classic.

With that kind of money, he can pretty much support his family and descendants for hundreds of years.

Court Packing is another horrible example of terminology. Most people assume it means, “a president putting justices on the court(s) who agree with his or her ideology.” Well, that’s what every president ever does. It means to expand the number of justices.

Yes I know. But originally, a refusnik was someone who was being refused something. As in, being denied.

I know right?

I teach middle school at a charter school in Washington, DC.

I was under the impression that the term originated from Soviet Jews being denied emigration in the 1960's and 1970's.

I was going to point out that a “refusnik” is a person who is being refused something. Originally a Soviet Jew who is refused permission to emigrate, probably to Israel.

I think you are correct, but I think a Hollywood star is more earned.  I have seen one Hollywood “starring,” Queen.  Guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor showed up for the honor in 2002.

Apparently, a hell of a lot more people are offered knighthood than I ever would have thought. Aren’t female knights called “dames”?  If I just bought it, I wouldn’t want it, because of course people are going to ask you how you got it.

I don’t do any of those sports.  But skiing?

I have been meaning to respond to your comment for a while. Work got really busy.

I read the weekly chat of Tom Sietsema, the Washington Post’s food critic.

How are your mashed potatoes $5 per serving?  That seems outrageous.
