14. Persona 5: The Golden (Vita) - 90 points

This just in: Kingdom Heart’s plot has always been bad.

Just ordered my copy on Amazon. Don’t know when I’ll get to it since I’m still slogging through Persona 5 but I can’t resist.

I was always bewildered by the hate 12 got when it first released. It’s my second favorite FF, next to 6. Maybe I’m just forgetting, but I don’t remember the plot being convoluted, though VII, VIII, and X definitely were.

I kind of want to play this game now. Flying a helicopter in Vietnam sounds kind of awesome.

Why is everyone here saying there’s only 12 fights? I’m 100% certain there’s 16 of them.

The story and character development were not great, I’ll give you that. But the music and gameplay were a lot of fun.

Maybe if Bethesda spent more time trying to make good games and less time with frivolous legal actions then I wouldn’t have been disappointed with everything they have done post Skyrim. Seriously, fuck those guys and their legal team full of assholes.

It was the worst translation of any game I’ve played in the last 10 years. The actual performance of the port was pretty okay though.

Ah, back when Tri-Ace made good games. I would probably buy this again if it came out in the States. If it sells well we could see Radiata Stories and Valkyrie Profile 2 as well, two games I think are way better than this one.

I finished base 14 this afternoon, and let me tell you, the last 4 hours of this game are absolute trash. They throw so many cutscenes at you in the last two raids that you either have to skip them all and not know what is going on, or you can watch them and then the other 7 players run ahead and leave you behind.…

Girlfriend’s been working in a third world country for the past month, but I pulled a 5 star Lyn this morning.

I have a feeling we’re swiftly entering into a New 3DS type situation where newer games will start to expect that you have the Pro, and that the base versions of games will see major frame rate drops and scaled back effects.
