8 billion in funding for high-risk pools over 5 years. That’s 1.6 billion a year. Depending on how you define it, 25-50% of Americans have a “preexisting condition.” So how is 1.6 billion a year going to make up the difference when the health insurance for 50-150 million people triples overnight?

Oh, and the bill also specifically exempts congressmen, their staff, and families from any of its bullshit. Just in case you thought that maybe they weren’t aware of how awful it is, they made sure that it just applies to other people.
