I lucked out by having a Magnemite. Not much the totem or its summons could do and I paralyzed the totem right off the bat. Once Magnamite fell I switched in Popplio and let Disarming Voice kill both opponents at once.

Fair warning, my wife wasn’t able to find a rockruff until really late in the game :( Strange decision for Game freak as its a pretty hyped up little pupper.
