People don’t even understand how complex the rain physics in GT7 actual is. They put tons of R&D into their weather system.

The dynamic weather pattern and rain handling physics of GT7 is truly impressive. An actual dynamic racing line that displaces water based off the lead car’s tires is no small feat. To dismiss GT7 because of special effects is ignorant.

I feel ya.

I’ve always loved the homage to Berserk since Demon’s Souls on PS3. I’ve read every volume of the Berserk manga, and the story still sticks with me 15 years later. RIP Miura.

Buying a multi-million credit car in GT7 isn’t gonna give you an advantage. The opponent cars are based off a PP (performance points) balancing system that every race event is tuned around. Multiplayer race events are using the BoP (balance of performance) system to keep all cars balanced.

Yea, I wish there were more controller settings similar to racing sims. Pedal and advanced FFB settings definitely need to be implemented.

I’ve gotten multiple cars from the 3 or 4 star tickets. I feel the higher star tickets are luckier.

Right? The gameplay is great. The online needs some tweaking, but they’ve already made updates based on feedback. There’s nobody in the pro GT or competitive online community making a stink about the economy, because they’re too busy racing.

They had a 24 hour online endurance race on iRacing awhile back with pro and amateur driver teams. They typically drove in 4 hour shifts.

Why can’t we ever get digital copies of these games?

Which game in the Gran Turismo series have they ever given you high tier cars without you grinding for it? You definitely sound like a person who never played a GT game before.

You’ve made some good points. I’ve never really had money issues in the GT games, because I play at my own pace, and I have no desire to drop 3+ million on a race car any time soon.

The higher tier events are gated through cafe progression. By the time you unlock those races, you’ll have plenty of money.

I’d really like to see this “10x” inflated amount that people keep referring to. The only expensive items I’ve seen are these 3+ million race cars, which aren’t mandatory and don’t hinder your enjoyment of the game.

People have been “grinding” levels and upgrade mats in souls games since Demon’s Souls. If gaining levels and upgrading gear isn’t considered progression, then you’re delusional.

So the game is unplayable and anti-consumer trash, because you can’t afford to buy a rare car right away? GT7 is the third best credit/hour out of all the games in the series.

No, I think you’re missing the point. If people want to grind a week for a 3 million credit race car, that’s entirely up to them. You can casually play GT7 without grinding and still enjoy the game.

Rockstar creates some of the best open worlds. GT5 and RDR2 are very enjoyable to explore.

GT7 doesn’t need you to grind either. It’s the same mentality you’re referring to with Elden Ring. It’s because people want progression ASAP.

I have over a million credits from playing a few hours doing only the cafe progression. I’m driving and upgrading the cars that I want. I don’t understand people’s obsession to grind just so they can have every million dollar race car ASAP.
