I think there’s something to your last sentence. My poor husband is a type 1 and has gotten his cystic acne (mostly) under control. Since diabetes leads to skin not healing quickly/properly, he scarred up fiercely as a teen/20-something and has pretty bad scarring on his face, neck and upper back. I wish I had more to

100% pulling for the first one.

Best movie.

100% agree with your comment. That life sounds like my biggest nightmare. I feel for her a ton and hope she finds some peace.

As I said above, Demi (openly) has bipolar disorder, so her “demons” aren’t going away, they can only be managed. I don’t think being in the thick of things HELPS though given that she struggles with mania according to her interviews. I also have bipolar disorder and I find that I need to be somewhere I can sleep and

She has openly said she has bipolar disorder. Quite a few of us have substance abuse issues co-morbid. They usually start out as coping mechanisms pre-diagnosis and can just linger, even with proper meds for the mood swings.

Have you ever cleaned up after a party on the night of the party? Just gone for it, recycled the bottles before they could stink up the living room, maybe even vacuumed until your neighbors banged on the ceiling?

That makes him good enough to start in the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, even! (Right, Bryce Harper?)

100% what justlurking42 said. I’m only about six years into my career, so I’ve not found a great, amazing way to say no that doesn’t make people mad...

I “love” all the burners, most (if not all) of whom are (self-identified!) men, commenting on this. As a woman affected by this, let me give you guys some perspective:

You could make a plums in the icebox reference!

HOLY CRAP. That person has ISSUES.

Oh, this is so easy! Get a HDHP, have chronic migraine and bipolar disorder and then marry someone with Type I diabetes!

I’m right there with you. The thing that helps me actually do it, even though I might not get any emotional payoff, is making #1 and #2 REALLY EASY and things that make me feel better physically. Like, #1 is “shower” (I have issues with doing this, especially during non-sweaty seasons) or “make myself a semi-healthy

I kind of love Dame Jo. I hope she’s real and not just Joanna trolling. Seems like a fascinating person :D

They are, as they are with other anti-depressant type drugs, especially in younger people. Now, whether it’s heightening depression that was already there, providing a stimulating effect (aka, causing you to act on what you were already thinking but too blah-feeling to carry out), both, neither, something else... that

This is a very good point. I’m sure that all big enough pharmacies follow this law—they’re so lawsuit-scared that they would have to, or else some moron would sue over religious rights violations. Smaller pharmacies might not, because they might not be subject to the same EEOC requirements.

Walgreens bought out Rite Aid. At least, all the stores in my area.
