When I got married about a year ago, my husband and I registered for bone china—that you can microwave, put in the dishwasher, and that is supposedly freezer and oven safe, though I do not want to test the oven one. (It’s Lenox Chirp, for anyone interested.) We use it every day, we’re pretty rough with it, and nothing

Well, and even if it helps you now, it will hurt you later when millions and millions of people are driving up healthcare costs, for example.

Are you kidding me?! UGH

I think Italian sub casserole is the winner here.

We did that! It worked super well. Heading: “THESE ARE JUST SUGGESTIONS NO ONE PANIC”

If I weren’t married, I’d go allllll in. Actually, it would still be perfect because we could pretend he was our third. AMAZING will keep in mind

Agreed, very, VERY field-dependent. I have no idea what OP does, but I can’t think of any professional job that I’ve ever applied for that didn’t require a cover letter. My background: I work in policy, which is writing-heavy. I also went to law school, and basically all legal jobs require cover letters.

Me please! Thank you kindly.

And Jezebel RERAN THAT SHIT THIS WEEKEND, which is how this person probably knows it exists. I was so appalled considering what all happened with him.

I THOUGHT that he was the one who instigated all that, but didn’t have time to dig into the Google results I found when I just typed in “hugo schwyzer” and wasn’t entirely sure enough to post that too. That link was basically the top one with the terrible “I totally suck” apology I was going for. How appropriate

Hahahahaha the best part of that whole damn article is that the author was a celebrated Male Feminist gender studies prof at the time who, as it turned out, slept with his students. What a fuckhead.

I think some people might think we’re uptight for it, but it saves a lot of heartbreak for potluck dinner parties. Also, the snack nights, because that way not EVERYONE brings a bag of pre-popped popcorn. (This happened.) At least everyone also brought a bottle of wine and/or beers.

My husband and I are having our Friendsgiving party this Saturday! I’m so excited.

I think there’s just nowhere else like it, honestly. I know everyone says that about their cities, but it really does seem unique, even regionally.

I guess you can make the argument that it’s a slippery slope, but since marijuana is being legalized across the states and it’s really only a matter of time until it’ll be legal nationwide, I have no issues with some kid who got busted for smoking pot once being allowed to enlist. Repeat offenders, maybe not, and

The point is, they’re likely not going to admit people who couldn’t pass that background check. Not all of us with mental illness are banned from buying guns, you know.

As someone with bipolar disorder who really, really wanted to be a JAG (military lawyer) coming out of law school but couldn’t, this would have been nice! Yes, it involves combat training for six weeks and can involve being sent abroad to war zones if you’re working court-martials/upholding international law out there

I’m not a big fan! Shocking, I know.

HAHAHA I am just imagining someone calling BWI “Thurgood Marshall.” I wouldn’t even know where they were talking about unless they clarified it was an airport.
