I never liked the fantasy aspect in Comic books even though I'm a huge fantasy fan. The comic versions just always seemed to run for a few issues or Their main characters were a little meh to me (looking at you Dr Strange) but then I had read the last run on Hellblazer (before the merge into New 52) and was blown away

LOTR, Sword of Shannara and the wheel of time were actually the ones that were sort of killing my love for fantasy but then I read the Malazan Book of the Fallen and it re kindled my love for Magic and EPIC fantasy battles....it has actually made me cry on several occasions
