It’s not clever, it’s unethical. By intentionally avoiding regulators, they’re basically admitting that they’re running an illegal taxicab business. They thought it was better to avoid enforcement rather than fixing the issues that made them subject to enforcement.

Funny, I’m exactly the opposite. I want nothing to do with all that “driver aid” crap. I can drive just fine on my own, and it’s just going to lure me into being a less attentive driver. Basic cruise control is plenty for me.
But if full autonomy was available right now, I’d be near the front of the line.

Money. They are afraid to make a system and charge $500 for it and only break even or lose a little knowing they will make up the cost with software. They feel they need to be affordable for the consumer and make a nice profit off the actual system.

Annnndddd the only movie that I have seen that is represented in the big categories is Arrival. I guess either I am out of touch, or the Academy still is, or a little bit of both.

Compared to all the other movies in the lists, BvS really doesn’t deserve to be there. It had flaws but having watched the extended edition it’s a solid superhero movie with an especially awesome Batman/Bruce Wayne.

Say what you will about BvS, I certainly don’t think Ben Affleck earned that nomination for worst actor.

I recommend not watching, it’ll be another metric to point to, to prove how unpopular he is.
