Oddly enough, some of the games characters poke fun of the monotone as the sole witcher mode as well.

Man, if you’re a DD fan you should give this a shot. Combat is nowhere near as fun and the character system isn’t as interesting, but the two games are oddly similar otherwise.
About on par or slightly below Ocarina’s soundtrack, with one major difference: with every day that passes the overworld theme becomes more discordant. That along with the giant moon overhead gradually looming closer really go a long way to build that sense of doom this game has.
