as if the gaming industry is the number one culprit that is doing damage to the environment. why don't we do the same kind of analysis for every other industries and just become hippies

at least they are trying to give it an original touch rather than resorting to use the generic overused races you see in western games.

This time they came without nipples. I guess Tecmo was prepared this time.

"the staff is made up of otoko no musume ("male daughters")"

@AchromaticMagus: "Guys who look like girls are dum. Guys who a dressed kinda like a girl but obviously not a girl are pretty ok. "

@Mit: I can understand people being surprised and all but in either way I don't see a problem with it. In a society where homosexuality and gender identity disorders are becoming more and more accepted, I don't see why the reasons for cross-dressing would matter.

@Traveler: only problem is that most of the manga that people find and/or read online are copyrighted materials that are scanned and illegally distributed. It's unlikely that there will be an official digital release from the publishers in the near future due to the current state of affairs.

hooray! another stoner animation

@ShadowOdin of dubious snowiness: I am well aware of the discrimination agianst homosexuals in Japan, in fact not limited in Japan, but in Asia in general.

@FarmboyinJapan: If you think of the context he wrote this statement in, the comparison with Akihabara and Ikebukuro is perfectly understandable. These two locations have more of those people that are likely to play such games, and not to mention the stores that sell those types of games. The CNN article is making a

@Balmut: Then where would rape murders fall in? Since the victim can no longer experience the psychological pain, I guess it's not as bad as raping? It's that sort of mindset that leads to prejudice in the current society.

@Elliott Brett: I don't see what the problem is with talking to hostesses. Considering the stress levels of people in the Japanese society, do you think their wives would tolerate it if a husband frequently comes back from a hard stressful day of work only to bitch about their lives and seek agreement/sympathy?

@LedRush: "(b) the effects of having such games on the treatment and attitudes towards women"

Remember guys, they are only considering to "regulate" the current state of these publications. We have no ideas yet to whether this extends into banning and making certain contents illegal, or simply flagging them as inappropriate for minors, as many BL comics do not have a typical 18+ rating you would expect.

I know you shouldn't be asking such, but it always makes me wonder where the hell the characters get just expendible weapons and resources in these post-apocalyptic themed movies. At least in the last resident evil movie, resources were scarce.

@Cartman86: Most SAGA series by now SquareEnix incorporates it, and I agree with you. The plot of having to defeat god or a figure with a godly status makes the final battle somewhat more epic.

It's interesting because if you think about it, Japanese games have incorporated religion or religious aspects into games for a long time.

@Karasu-kun: You're not alone, I remember reading that comment by Azuma and having to agree with him. Although I haven't watched the anime of Kei-on, I've tried reading the comic and I ended up skimming most of it and not remembering most of the content because the comic literally was empty.
